This is a letter from a client suffering with alopecia. To help solve the problem we used a bead method of hair integration. We added a bang piece and 2 tracks with Bounce Natural Roots by Indique(Our partner hair supplier) . She didn't want any pictures posted:
My Journey & solution with alopecia
My hair has been thinning for 2 years. Like many African American women my hair has always been a big part of my perception of self and how I present myself to the world.
Needless to say I became very self conscious, I spent lots of time trying to disguise the hair loss. I parted, crimped and tried new hair styles and after a lot of tears I realized I needed help.
I received treatment from a dermatologist and was able to slow and stop the hair loss but was faced wtih the realization that my hair would always be thin in the front.
My hair stylist was very old school and wasn't willing to help me with any hair integration options so I looked for other solutions.
I visited the Suisse Salon in Boston, they offered very expensive hair intergration options. They looked great but I really wanted a local option in an African American Salon. I found it with Shi - Shi's Lounge in Worcester. Owner Eurayshia Williams Reed gave me a great private consultation. I was given several options and my finished style was amazing.
Eurayshia's hair integration option was weightless felt natural and was a blend of my own hair.
I am so happy that I found Shi Shi's Lounge in Worcester! I make the drive from Boston because the customer service is Amazaing and my finished look is everything I asked for . Eurayshia consulted with me at every step of the style so that the finished product is what I wanted.
I love Shi-Shi's Lounge in Worcester.

Again, again and again....What a wonderful event. The Willis Center pulled it together as usual. They have some great people on that committee. We enjoyed being apart of it. I wasn't able to post the video of the performance but it's on our facebook page and we have added pictures under Events and Promotions. Check them out.
Rosa did ALL the color for the show and a couple of the really stylish up-dos. She's a master colorist and stylist.
This morning Your Life Calling aired on NBC. It was amazing to get to see your work on national television. It was an experience to see how they actually pull these segments together and all the work and people that go into making it a great show.

There is a difference and right now in this constantly changing climate we are experiencing a lot of shedding. You can tell it is shedding because it's long strands. If you see short strandsof hair then it is most likely breakage. Shedding can be treated with protein or reconstructive conditioning. Once breakage happens there is no way of repairing it. It can be prevented with regular trims, not putting a lot of stress on the hair with ponies, not over processing with chemicals, not having braids or weaves too tights, not overcombing or brushing, not vigoriously combing or brushing and regularly conditioning. It is important to keep yourself healthy and hydrated with proper eating habits and drinking plenty of water.
I attended a couple of events this past week and had a wonderful time. The first event was at The Jewel Box on Green Street. Niche Hospitality put on a good party. Everyone has to check out this fabulous Asian Restaurant.
The second event was the fund raiser for the MLK Business Center. That was fabulous as well. Polly and her group did a fantastic job. I met some new people and most importantly I met Robert Thomas, w some information for the business development center. I'll be contacting them soon. You can check out pictures from the MLK event under Events and Promotions, Current Events, MLK Fundraiser.
