There is a difference and right now in this constantly changing climate we are experiencing a lot of shedding. You can tell it is shedding because it's long strands. If you see short strandsof hair then it is most likely breakage. Shedding can be treated with protein or reconstructive conditioning. Once breakage happens there is no way of repairing it. It can be prevented with regular trims, not putting a lot of stress on the hair with ponies, not over processing with chemicals, not having braids or weaves too tights, not overcombing or brushing, not vigoriously combing or brushing and regularly conditioning. It is important to keep yourself healthy and hydrated with proper eating habits and drinking plenty of water.
I attended a couple of events this past week and had a wonderful time. The first event was at The Jewel Box on Green Street. Niche Hospitality put on a good party. Everyone has to check out this fabulous Asian Restaurant.
The second event was the fund raiser for the MLK Business Center. That was fabulous as well. Polly and her group did a fantastic job. I met some new people and most importantly I met Robert Thomas, w some information for the business development center. I'll be contacting them soon. You can check out pictures from the MLK event under Events and Promotions, Current Events, MLK Fundraiser.
A young lady was sent in by some friends (Thanks Kelly & Carrie) inquiring about the open stylist position. She is just finishing school and is very eager. We had trials on Saturday and it was good. I'll see her tomorrow she and talk about how it was. Wish us luck
10/28/2009 - Welcome to our new webpage. Check our services, galleries and the current events page for specials. We've made some interior changes and are much happier. I think it has a nice flow now. The responses from the customers have been mixed. I think we will all be ok...Change is good.
Starting in November we will be running a special for the holidays involving color called "Get Chemically Addicted". With every fabulous color service you need a fabulous haircut to emphasize the dynamics of the color. Check under Current Promotions for details.
